Within the long history of art the nude female body is usually being exposed as a symbol wihout her own feelings or emotions. The exposed woman is almost always of less importance.
The intention of my work is to give the female nude the possibility to express her feelings of present discomfort and vulnerability.

Naakt worden vrouwen in de kunst vaak uitgebeeld als zielloze symboliek, of ze worden ‘tentoongesteld’ voor de voyeuristische mannenblik. De vrouw zelf is vrijwel altijd van ondergeschikt belang.
De intentie van mijn werk is de naakte vrouw haar ziel terug te geven door haar de mogelijkheid te geven zich kwetsbaar en ongemakkelijk te voelen.
